Here are the shoes I managed to find at Planet Aid today for $20. They are a little worn looking and someone thought it was a good idea to cut the heel strap off, but I improvised. Granted, they are an inch taller in the heel then my tallest shoes and an inch shorter from front to back so the angle of the foot/ankle is rather drastic compared to what I'm used to. Somehow I'm sure I'll learn to manage walking and maybe even dancing in them though--I mean someone else did so why can't I?



Did I mention I used Natasha's crappy digital? Sorry, poor quality, but it was a great find and I couldn't help but post it.

You're assuming that someone else learned to walk in those. They may be a cursed pair of shoes that have been handed down from twisted ankle to twisted ankle in a long, unbroken line since 1962, and nobody has yet learned to stand in them.

Either that or the "sway back and forth like a willow tree" dance features prominently in your future. One or the other.

Well, the scuffs on the souls and the slightly rounded wearing of the tips of the heels would indicate someone *did* in fact learn to walk or at least dance in these shoes...so hopefully I'll get the hang of it one day--and not break my neck.

I'm sorry! I didn't mean to scare you. They frighten Sean too I think, all tall and tippy-like. He's always worried I'm going to either break something or end up having feet that need surgery all the time like his mom's did when he was a kid.

It's ok, they are just similiar in height and strappy goodness to what I was wearing the night I fell.
They are damn sexy... but I don't need to remind you that Sean is actually right on this one... *sigh*
Of course, it's all about what you feel comfortable in - but if you wear them around me don't be surprised if I hang by your side ready to catch you if you fall. :)
Maybe wear them while laying down? LOL
